Helloooooooo Satchland! I hope all's well with everyone.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO THE HARDEST WORKERS ON THE PLANET! I hope all you ladies had a beautiful day.

Last friday I saw Indigenous and got to meet the band afterwards. It was a great show! Mato played a solo just inches from my face! I was front n center,my knees touched the stage. I got some really great photos and made a friend. I saw Joe Perry Thurs night in NYC with Ronnie FABLawyer got to work by 7:30am then saw and incredible show last night with some amazing local talent! I saw 2 of the guitarist in the early 80's and just by luck found out about this show. It was called "the history of the Blues" or something like that. It started at 9 but I got there at 10. there were 4 guitarist jamming through out the night till 12:45 non-stop. They would take turns doing the sets. I get there they were in the 60's talking about the influences.......Freddy King, T-bone Walker, Jimi etc...and then jamming to their tunes. The 70's set was the Alllman Bros, Santana, Jeff Beck. The 80's and beyond was just amazing......SRV, Clapton OMG it was just amazing! They played one of my fav SRV songs "Tell Me" and "Testify" Of course they Jammed Red House, Voodoo Chile during the night! This was a total surprise since I was having dinner with my girlfriend and her friend called and said "Ernie White is playing at the Conduit at 9pm, wanna go?" I said sure I had loved him years ago and i was happy to see him again! HOLY SHIT What a night it was! I was in the 2nd row after working my way up front. This was such and incredible evening! I spoke with the 2 guitarist I had seen before (20-25 years ago) Ernie asked if I was 8 when I saw him.....hehe! No but i was young. I may be doing some work in the future for them . He asked where my photos were and I said I didn't even know about the show! I'm so happy to be back doing what I love to do, I can't tell you what it means to me.

I have to catch up with you all later this week. Last week I had alot of Bullshit to deal with. Some of you know about it. Hopefully it's all in the past. it is for me, let's hope that's where it stays. I will post my trip to Vegas "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". It's just taking a little while to finish with all the unpleasant distractions.

I'm trying to find out more about Steven Wilde's condition. I will let you know as soon as I know more. Please keep him in your thoughts / prayers.

Mari

Maybe the WEBMASTER (Jon) can get more info on these questions? ?

Attending the fabulous Joe show in Seattle, and seeing with my own two eyes at the show, a mystery amp sitting on Joe’s rack, which is just off the stage to the left, (@ Joe’s right when he is performing) where he in previous tours placed his 6100 Marshall heads (See backstage on the LISF DVD). I am still wondering about this mystery amp. Was he using it as a pre-amp? What amp was it? How was it being used? I am sure it wasn’t there just to take up space. I saved the pictures of the show which was on the webcast. Looking at the picture of the back of the cabs the JSX heads are setting on, it clearly shows that the JSX heads are NOT driving those cabs. The wiring to the cabs are routed elsewhere out of the picture. The amp/s that are driving the cabs are not shown. HMMMM? This leads me back to the mystery amp I saw at the show.

I have played and gigged for years, and the wiring here didn’t make any since to me. The cables to the cabs should just drop from the speaker outs of the amps, but there are no cables plugged into the speaker outs of the amp??? There appears to be a signal going to the front of the JSX heads, which is normal, but to sent a signal to an amp that isn’t pushing any speakers as the pictures show, isn’t. There has to be a amp pushing those cabs for any sound to be heard from them, and from the pictures, the JSX isn’t the power source for the cabs. So what amp or amps where driving the cabs??? Also from hearing the G3 DVD where Joe is using the JSX. Joe’s sound has changed from that tour from what I am hearing now. His sound is more like he had when he was using the 6100’s.

Maybe Clarky, Cuthbert, DCK Tracy and some of you that have experience in live performance setups could review these pictures and give us some more input. Maybe I’m just missing something here. My curiosity concerning the mystery amp is taking much of my thought as of late. Just one of those things that make you wonder and go HMMMM.

The show itself was great as ever. Joe was on top of his attributes. The rest of the band’s performance was spectacular. Hopefully Joe will return to Seattle or near here, before I return to Louisiana. He doesn’t make it down there as often as he dose here. I have seen him 3 times within a year here in Washington State, where as back home it may be once in every 3 years or so.

Happy Mothers' Day

Steven Wilde I'm STILL praying for you!

Like the Petra song said, "Get on your knees and fight like a man!". I love that. Get on your knees and pray for Steven Wilde, everyone!

And add a prayer for all the troops in Iraq and pray for the whole world. The world is going you-know-where in a handbasket!

We need more faith and less hate (my own words).

Goodnight. :<)

GODGUNSGUITARS I agree with you, check a few posts ago I pop the same question, Maybe is because Mike (Joe's guitar enginier) needed the Heads near him to set them up for each song; the other thing, is maybe Joe is trying the new amps that he mentioned in the JSX review on the webcast.

Bahduh > Hey hows you man !! So did you get your tickets for the show. In Bangalore the tickets has not yet been on sale ... the latest news from the event managers is that it will be sold from 11th morning. Your seem to be it a rush to get the "aftershow pass" ...LOL. I have left it for the fate coz I have never been lucky in winning backstage pass or any other goodies in the past, this is one of the reason I have left it for fate (if I am lucky I will get one ...if I am not I try n' try in the future).

VFR, as I write this you're just settling into your flight to Menorca! So you're reading this when you get back......Hope you had a fantastic time bro! Did you get some sun?

Yeah checkin out chicks when shopping works, but not around here - there's a lot of very strange, very local-looking people in dorset. We need some chlorene for the gene pool :-|

Delfino, http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/index.php, if you didn't look already, is a good place to check for Laney prices. Check out the GH100 and VH-100R heads. As for cabs, GS412 P and GS412 I cabs are cool. As far as I remember, the GS412 P is a stereo cab, and is very good for projection of sound. You only need one.....the full stack just isn't necessary.

A single cab will easily fill any pub you're likely to play, and if you move onto some bigger venues it'll still be enough, especially if you get your cab mic'ed into the PA.

GODGUNSGUITARS and hoiguy, maybe the amp just wasn't connected up when they took the photo?

Also, in the filming of G3 Live In Denver, the JSX was still in developement.....that was the shakedown tour.....and changes were made on a number of occasions after that show, so what you're hearing now will be the finalised JSX with revisions. because the JSX is still on it's first model run, there will probably be further revisions, but nothing that you'll notice....it's always the same with anything new!
