Hey Joe,
I flipped out when I recieved my order of G3 Live-DVD
I haven't seen anything live of you or Steve since I lived in Burbank C.A. back in the early 90's. I know you don't remember ,but I met you at Steve Via's house or I should say
studio "Mother Land".This was actually in like 1987-88.I knew
Stu pretty good then.My best friend in L.A. introduced me to Stu and so happened that Stu came to N.C. fishing each Fall.
That's where I live is North Carolina,Hey great basketball!!!
You blew every one away on the last ge Tour.Yeah, I bought the DVD and the CD.I got some beef Joe! Why didn't
you guys put the amazing stuff that Steve did with the 3 neck
Ibanez on the DVD onto the CD.That is the only thing that bothered me.Thank GOD that I did buy them both together.Well
guy! Wish all the best to every one. Can't wait to get the new
album yes I said album,I'm old enough-40 in 2 months-June.
Will iI make it? I had better! I just bought an awesome set of studio Yamahas.Keep On Keep'in On Brother! There is alot of players out there just living to here you play.I mean that in a sincere way.Love You Man!! Your the best!##1 PHIL

Little Santilli: no need for bold caps dude, we can read mixed case normal font quite well thanks. Just in case you weren't already aware, typing in all caps is the Internet equivalent of shouting.
Matt Martinez: we kinda discovered that bold thing accidentally ... have you ever seen those posts with big long bold sections? That's what happens when you don't close it properly!
Austin: "That way, you want forget stuff" I picked up on a grammatical error by you. Do I get to have your gold star now?
Could everyone shut up about this new album? Blah blah blah new album. Either that or send me one. Preferably the Japanese version with the BONUS TRACK.
edit: Phil guy: nothing wrong with using the word "album" it's "record" you shouldn't say. (Or tape.)

Austin, getting gold stars from the webmaster. Suck up!! lol!
Mick, No oktoberinfestin' ? Then I guess we be haffin' ta fest the other 11 months of the year. Dem leather britches are overrated anyways ;) Achtulebah! (how the hell do you spell that one? and what does it really mean?) lmao!
Tomjr, did you pay $100 for that!! I saw that on the website and thought is was so bogus to have to pay for what we should get for free. Good seats, and possibly aftershow signatures and a handshake should be part of the deal when you buy a ticket to a show. I can buy my own t-shirt if I want one. The laminant is cool, but not worth all that. $200.00 plus TM costs for 2 tix is WAY to much for me to pay unless there are multiple bands. Multiple many multiple! lol! The bullshit of all that is that I was online at 10 a.m. and all the bastards had to offer me was 31st row!! That's total bullshit and has burned my ass for any future DT shows. We had a good time, but would have enjoyed it MUCH better closer to the stage. Good thing they had screens so we could see in the back. The show was great, but I doubt I'll play that game again. Didn't even buy a t-shirt I was so disgusted. I'm sure your experience was 100x better than mine.
Bil, why start small with twins? Go for a 6-pack! lmao! As for the 15th, all it is to us is my little Scooter Pie's first birthday. Stewart will be a year old tomorrow. BYOB. lol! Tax stuff is always done before the 15th. Didn't get much of nuthin' back, but it's done. lol! If we had to write a check, we'd be doing it tomorrow too. Just for shits & giggles, on the memo line of your check write "werd to ya mutha", Then send it with a smile :)
slan, throwing spaghetti? hmmm, tell me more. This old dog could use some new tricks. lol!
little bird, tell us a bit about yourself. How old are you? Any children? What do you do for a living? I've been a Satch fan for about 9 years. I have 2 children - a girl 15 and a boy 12. I work in retail. Been married for 16 years. Satriani is my favorite musician. I've been a member of this site since maybe 1997 or '98? How's life in Russia?
Bil, panic attack in the MRI - you'll do anything for attention these daze, eh? lol! Those machines suck. I've had cat scans, but never an MRI. Breathe. Hold your breath. Breathe. I enjoyed having my head strapped to the table. That way I could look around without the paranoia of accidently moving my head. Hey, that's kinda sick, isn't it... Geez, all you're missing these days is a mamagram and you'll be good to go. LOL!!
Joeman, I got my dancing slippers on! (hey, it's after midnight!) lol!
Oh hell, I finally reached the last post! yippee!

Hey Joe,
How about doing another appearance at Tower Records in Concord, CALIF? I wanted to attend, but couldn't get to the store due to the light airplane crash nearby that tied up the freeway/road traffic. Maybe others had problems to...

The new CD is awesome! I love "Hands in the air" and "Gnaah". Good work and keep it coming! Also bought your CD "The electric Joe Satriani: An anthology" through Sony and loved getting a signed CD booklet. Thanks, Joe!

Joe, Do you know if the new release will be out soon on a SACD? I enjoyed Engines of Creation and Strange Beautiful Music on SACD. They clearly sound better than regular CD's . A fan since the 80's, Jon.

Jazzy boy don't broadly diss all republicans, alright? there are morons on both sides of the fence. don't be such a holier than thou. personally, I can't stand those pandering liberals that always say what you want to hear.
thats not a knock on you, just stop believing all the hype and think for yourself. Btw: bush is my commander in chief and he's a wank. and kerry is also a freaking loser. so we lose both ways. at least bush will defend this country even if hollywood says: " it's not cool "
JS JS greetings fellow conservative voice.
I would love to see ITLIS on sony sacd
steve stevens flamenco a go go is also on dvd audio and sounds ruthless in 5.1 surround.

hooray for conservatives. the country needs crazy people on both sides for balance. i've been on both sides and can't deal with either enough to consistently align myself, but oh well ;)
js_js my thoughts on why saying "he can play better than you" (re: yngwie) isn't valid. number 1: i would tend to think that if a budding young guitarist started being able to shred like that, people would encourage him to do what he wanted to (i say he and him to be grammatically correct, and because guys play guitar better than girls), but cut to yngwie YEARS later and he's still playing the same stuff? he's obviously a VERY talented player, but he's not pushing his limits in any way. this disappoints me to see that someone can be static but still have a huge fan base, not to mention he's not the most pleasant guy in a professional context. number 2: it just isn't necessarily true to say "he's better than you" yngwie's faster than me, but i guarantee you that i will (and possibly have) done things that interest more people on a musical level than him. most people get on him because his solos are lame -- personally, from what i've seen, i think our own humble matt king is a better writer and soloist than yngwie because is playing is just more tasteful. granted, that's by my own arbitrary definition of what's good and what isn't, which brings me to my next point. number 3: by my own arbitrary definition of what's good and what isn't, yngwie blows hard when it comes to good songs.
edit: don't anyone go and take this post TOO seriously. lol

Hi Joe. Is an interview possible?
I run a website dedicated to free guitar lessons. One by one I am trying to do interviews with my favorite players. The theme of the interview would be philosophies regarding practice, learning, recording and songwriting. The interview would certainly be seen by thousands of aspiring players, as the site popularity is ever increasing. Please let me know if you are interested and what your terms are.
Incidentally I am working on my own cd. I am currently living in Munich and return to the states in September. I am hoping to put together a band in the Boston area, with the ultimate goal being to submit a top notch demo to Favored Nations. One step at a time, right?
Rock on,

I think the tunes I like on the new album are more than worth the price of the CD.I really, really love the title track. Its up there with Joe's finest, for me.Its just beautiful. The outro solo is perfect.
Im really anxious to hear the bonus tracks, hopefully they are more the esoteric type songs that Joe does that I love so much, as opposed to the "rocking out and having a good time" songs, which just aren't me.Weird how that works.
I like the strange stuff.

Ethn the title track does rule man! I can't stop listening to it. The album as a whole is ok, but that song is just rediculously cool. so is Gnaaah, even if the solo sounds like a bit of a borg sex ripoff.
I'm having a hard time with this album for some reason. it almost feels like an EP or something, instead of a full-blown record.
And yeah, he does the atmospheric stuff pretty great. I could do with an album full of turkeymen and racing clouds, lol.

ocps - ha.. no worries.. C11?? C9?? who cares.. that's just adding up.. the main thing though is understanding
1 - how to spell the chord and name it
2 - what key is is derived from
because each of the three chords I listed are derived from a different key.... which is important not only for solo's etc.. but also for working out the 11th and 13th should you need them..
trutina - patience?? this is a labour of love.. my lil' creation.. and all things will come together in their own sweet time....
being in labour fukn sux and I been rippin' my fukn hair out... lmao...
Mikey - In the blue corner weighing in at 230lb, 5'10" fighting out of the SE London Bar Ruk Do Dojo [likes flower arranging, tennis and wants to love and peace throughout the world - no lie] Cllllllllaaaaarrrrrkkkkkeeeeeeeee.... and in the red corner weighing in at 22lb, 3 1/2" fighting out of the Yamaha factory Dojo Japan [likes messing with peoples heads, missbehaving and generally pissing everyone off] AAAAAAAA dub yoooooouuuu siiiiiixx teeeennnnnnn..
So after 15 rounds it could have gone either way but in the end sheer size and weight prevailed... Clarky beats the AW16 by a knockout.. and then another knockout.. and then kicked it around the floor some.. and woke it up.. and knocked it out again....
The Raft mix number 15 is GGGOOOOOOODDDD !!!!
woooohooo.... [marching band playing.... fireworks... crowds cheering... ticker tape falling from the tops of buildings...]....
and only 6 more songs to go.... yeeeeeaaaaah......
