Mzar54- just got back from San Antonio..loved it, will visit again.
I thought there would be more live music in San Antonio, and from what I hear the Austin Texas music scene has went in another direction.
Welcome to the forum. Joe is on occasionally.

Thanks for the well wishes on the talk2joe app. That's 2 apps published now. I'm working on a third one that's sport related, and also did my first freelance app for a customer. So once they're published I'll have 4 up on iTunes.
Now if you search iTunes for chickenfoot, you only get 2 apps, and they're both mine. Cool.
Hey Joe, I bought my Marshall lm6100 because you used Marshall way back, and love the smooth tone. Only really use the clean channel, used to use a ds-1 (yeah, I know, no imagination) but upgraded to a saturator. I just use a zoom for everything else.
Hanging out for the vox js pog, octave and whammy pedals man.. Will get the time machine too of course.

I also like how the app automatically adds what your listening to to the footer on your posts.

axe...yeah, that's a good vid and Joe has already seen it cuz he has it in his favorites...I bet it made him smile huge to see it...and it's a nice reminder for him now of how influential he is, even to the young kids!!
chelle, sounds like we needed to trade a few days of our childhood just for the unique experiences we woulda both had, lol!! If you ever make it out here, I'll do dandelion curls and hollyhock dolls wiff ya any time :)
Mckenna...typical Irish Saturday night eh? LOL...I really wish someone woulda taken video of your skating efforts, we'da prolly all peed ourselves laughing!! It would be worth the mess to see you fall down....taken out by school children, LOL!! We lubs u mc :)
It's a beautiful Sunday morning here...I finally have one ripe tomato....and about 4,057,475 green ones =| Will they torture me and ripen one slow mater at a time? Or all get red at once? I don't like either scenario >:( Steady trickle!!
Had to get a new computer yesterday...there is a terrible virus out there that the only solution is to completely wipe your system and start over. But my old puter was like 8, years old and slow, so decided rather than do that I'd get a new one. Came with a flat screen 22 inch monitor...the old puter has one of those big-ass monitors and two of my cats liked to jump up on it to use as their personal sauna....
I tried my best yesterday to keep them off this new one cuz...well...there's nothing there for them to jump on...but Sweetie was too fast for me and up she went, only to fall down behind it. Lots of hollering and scrambling later, she now is eyeballing it with a decided lack of trust. I TOLD HER SO!!
Safe flight home Joe!! Enjoy these next coupla weeks off, hope you do something fun, although....with Chad, Mike and Sammy, mebbe u need a break from fun, LOL!!! Cheeks can only take so much smiling before they start to hurt!! :)

That is the reason for the switch to Marshall
Joe saw that little girl playing AWMAWY through a Marshall, and it was all it took.
And now you know the rest of the story.
Or maybe not.

At a July 6 Jeff Beck concert, I met an old High School buddy that I hadn't seen in 38 years. He was then and still plays now a Bass. We talked about old times and new times. Then on a string of thoughts he says...." ....Like the virtuosity of Joe Satriani..." That is why he was a friend then and is and will be a friend now. When you know, you know.....

Chickenfoot Sammy
Chee, I don't even know what a dandelion curls and hollyhock doll is! LOL! You can show me that, and I'll show you how to get drunk and fall off a wagon - literally. lol! That consists of a wagon full of hay, a tractor & driver, a group of friends, and some Jack Daniels. A sky fulla stars helps cause it's nice to have something to look at when yer laying on yer back on the ground. lol!

separate post....
Apparently someone...dunno who is responsible...is about to release all our cell phone #'s to the public/telemarketers...
THIS PISSES ME OFF!! That's why I cancelled my home phone and went with a cell only, to get away from the constant stupid calls!!! And now they're gonna track us all down again...AND USE MY MINUTES!!!
You can call using your cell to the National Do Not Call Registry for cell phones at this # 1-888-382-1222 and register yer cell ph #. They said it can take up to 30 days to take effect, but then after that you can file complaints against anyone who does call. Registering only took about 40 seconds.
EFFERS!!! My phone is for ME and my convenience, NOT THEIRS!!!
Anyway...*deep breath*....just passing on the info.

It's a funny old world.
La Toya now reckons that Wacko Jacko was whacked.
Official sources say he had a heart attack in A&E.
Unofficial sources say he had a stroke in the children's ward.

Does anyone remember Mark-Almond? Read an article from San Jose Mercury News "Known by sound, not by name" written by Andrew Gilbert. It's about London native Johnny Almond, a tenor saxophonist (who btw lives in the SF Bay Area) and his contribution to jazz, blues, R&B, and rock since the mid-1960s. He wrote the saxophone part on the Stones song, "Honky Tonk Women." Something I may have known about, but rediscovered.
Anyway, he was with the progressive folk-jazz combo Mark-Almond with guitarist/vocalist Jon Mark from 1970-73. I remember having one of their albums on vinyl.
Johnny Almond was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and at age 63 is being treated with chemo. In an interview, he said he's doing OK so far. He is being given a tribute in Santa Cruz at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center. A gig called Johnny Almond's Big Bash by the Garage Band, Thursday, July 16! Tickets are $18 in advance and $21 at the door. 831-427-2227, www.kuumbwajazz.org.
Johnny, I hope the treatments work and the cancer goes into remission. Don't want to lose a valuable musician! I love saxophone music!!
