mikesb, I still haven't got around to seeing The Transporter! is it good?
Suzie, I guess Ronin probaby is my favourite DeNiro film....it's got such a strong cast. but then, there's quite a bit of DeNiro stuff I've not seen. but Ronin does rock! As for Al Pacino.....that's hard to call....Possibly The Devil's Advocate, but I'm realy not sure, he's played some excellent mafia roles that take some beating!
meandmrvai, you should just buy off amazon or something dude, you can get all the Eric Johnson and G3 stuff you want!
Kandela, and where did you hear that rumour?! hehe. i can't imagine Joe quitting Ibanez after 20-something years of loyalty. And I can't imagine Peavey possibly having something to offer him that is better than what Ibanez can offer combined with their experience!

Hi All > HELP !! ..I have been in this site, spoken to many, posed questions for clarity and got many satisfying solutions to many of my questions. Here goes one more hope to find a solution too.

When I first got hooked on to Joe Satriani's music it was way back in late 1986, in those days it was hard to find Joe's CD in India (as none knew him) ... during those days all my CD used to purchased in Malaysia or Singapore ... but now I have his complete studio collection & recently I got one of his bootleg and I went breathless/spellbound ...now I have started my Satriani bootleg collection which is still more tougher to find in any part of India. (Thanx to "Roo" for introducing me to Satriani's bootlegs) ..My question ..

1. Is there anybody out there who sells original bootlegs ...I dont want to encourage CD-R coz that leads to piracy.

2. I am ready to buy the factory pressed bootlegs for a price

3. Now that I cannot resisit the bootlegs which gives me more dept to joe's music ... I would like to build my bootleg collection. I have lot of other artist bootlegs which I m ready to trade for Joe bootlegs.

4. I have searched whole of Bangalore & Mumbai for Joe's bootlegs, then I searched for the same in e.bay too but hardly I could find more than 1 out there ...

SO ALL KINDLY HELP IN SHOWING ME A WAY !!

Does anyone remember some months ago I think Zenfish made a post about how one school had banned rock bands form playing in a concert of some sort?

Well my school/college has done the same kind of thing...rock bands are no longer allowed to use the practice rooms...and seeing as rock bands are the only ones who use them anyway it seems like an awful waste.

Needless to say, once again I am pissed off with my school for its stupidity and unfair nature. The head of the music department said to my drummer the other day he would allocate us a time...now he won't let ANYONE use the rooms...t'is ridiculous.

Good thing I only have 4 weeks left at college before study leave.

On a positive note...PARTY TONIGHT!!! I'm not gonna' get wasted because I hardly know the girl whose party it is...in fact I've never spoken to her prior to my invite, but ah well..she's hot. I'm going to get wasted at another girls party and we're gonna' race to see who can get drunk first...shouldn't be a challenge as I'll be drinking pints and she'll be drinking reef...

If i win I wonder what the prize is? lol

neumonia is an inflammation of the lung caused by infection with bacteria, viruses, and other organisms. Pneumonia is usually triggered when a patient's defense system is weakened, most often by a simple viral upper respiratory tract infection or a case of influenza. Such infections or other triggers do not cause pneumonia directly but they alter the mucous blanket, thus encouraging bacterial growth. Other factors can also make specific people susceptible to bacterial growth and pneumonia.

Woman in Wendy's Finger Case Arrested

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The woman who claimed she found a finger in her bowl of Wendy's chili last month has been arrested, the latest twist in a bizarre case about how the 1 1/2-inch finger tip ended up in a bowl of fast food.

Anna Ayala was taken into custody late Thursday at her Las Vegas home, police said.

Authorities would not provide details until a news conference Friday in San Jose, Calif. — the city where Ayala claimed she bit down on the finger in a mouthful of her steamy stew.

Ayala's 18-year-old son, Guadalupe Reyes, said he had gone to the store around 9 p.m. when he got a phone call from a friend who was back at the Las Vegas home.

"We rushed back and she was already gone," Reyes said.

Reyes said he had no other details and was waiting to hear from his mother.

Ohio-based Wendy's International Inc. did not immediately return a call Friday.

Yawning Proves Costly in Courtroom

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Boredom proved costly to a potential juror who let out a loud yawn in a Los Angeles courtroom and was promptly ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Craig Veals found the man in contempt of court during an lengthy April 1 jury selection procedure when he waved his arms, yawned, and told the judge he was "really bored," court officials said on Wednesday.

Veals imposed a $1,000 fine but slashed it to $100 when the man protested as he turned up to pay a few days later. The man, whose identity was not revealed, was not selected to serve on a jury.

Under California law, judges can fine anyone up to $1,500 to enforce order in the courtroom. But lawyers and court officials said they had never heard of such a punishment for yawning.

BAKED BEANS > >If this doesn't make you laugh out loud, nothing will....... >Once there lived a woman who had a maddening passion for baked beans. >She loved them but unfortunately, they had always had a very embarrassing >and somewhat lively reaction to her. >Then one day she met a man and fell in love. When it became apparent that >they would marry she thought to herself, "He is such a sweet and gentle man, >he would never go for this carrying on." >She made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. >Some months later her car broke down on the way home from work. >Since she lived in the country she called her husband and told him that She >would be late because she had to walk home. >On her way, she passed a small diner and the odor of the baked beans was >more than she could stand. >Since she still had miles to walk, she figured that she would walk off any ill >effects by the time she reached home. >So, she stopped at the diner and before she knew it, she had consumed >three large orders of baked beans. >All the way home she putt-putted, and upon arriving home she felt reasonably >sure she could control it. >Her husband seemed excited to see her and exclaimed delightedly, Darling, >I have a surprise for dinner tonight." >He then blindfolded her and led her to her chair at the table. >She seated herself and just as he was about to remove the blindfold from His wife, >the telephone rang. >He made her promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned. >He then went to answer the telephone. >The baked beans she had consumed were still affecting her and the pressure >was becoming almost unbearable, so while her husband was out of the room she >seized the opportunity, shifted her weight to one leg and let it go. >It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in >front of pulpwood mill. >She took her napkin and fanned the air around her vigorously. >Then, she shifted to the other cheek and ripped three more, which reminded her >of cooked cabbage. >Keeping her ears tuned to the conversation in the other room, she went on like >this for another ten minutes. >When the telephone farewells signaled the end of her freedom, she fanned the air >a few more times with her napkin, placed it on her lap and folded her hands upon it, >smiling contentedly to herself. >She was the picture of innocence when her husband returned, apologizing for >taking so long, he asked her if she peeked, and she assured him that she had not. >At this point, he removed the blindfold, and she was surprised!! >There were twelve dinner guests seated around the table to wish her a "Happy Birthday"!!!

Delfino That was Michelle that posted about the bands. Do you graduate soon? It seems like this place is not the best for you.

Well affter a year of rehearsing and many bass player and singer auditions I am once again an ax slinger looking for a gig. The drama queens in the band could not decide who was going to get to wear the glass slippers to the prom and the whoile band in now defunked. So, any of you in Portand that are looking for a guitarist, drop me a line.

Suzie2000 BigBunny- I've seen that film too- I agree I didn't like the ending much either, and I really hated that horrible bit in the car. I didn't think it really fitted in with the rest of the film. Apart from that though, I really liked it! De Niro's one of my favourite actors- think one of my favourite roles he has played was in "Heat", but love most of his films

Heat is my fav. DeNiro movie - 'Waingro where is he?!' that has the best shootout/robbery scene ever! - and yeah - when i first saw 'OUATIA' that scene in the car with DeNiro & the girl he supposedly loves *shudder* i f*cking hated his character for that - i was yelling at the tv 'YOU BASTARD!!'

I actually hate the way that each of my Lord Of The Rings DVDs run over 2 discs... just when you're getting into the film you have to bloody get off the nice comfy sofa to fiddle about with the sodding DVD player.... :-)

Suzie - i have the extended edition of LOTR as well - & in 'The Return of the King' they cut off disc 1 at a very important moment - the bit where the wolf was being rolled in to knock down the gates of Minas Tirith - i'm like sitting there listening to the Orcs chanting etc - things are getting really intense!!!! then - HALT! - please put in disc 2! ahhhhh *throws cushion at the tv*

silent_shady BigBunny: if you do join in don't forget to mention those chins a few times. and the time when he was a woman :P

will do shady - *writes down, Bob Rock is a woman & has many chins!*

962 BigBunny, you're very talkative today! In a good way! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Metallica DVD. I have yet to see the special features, I would watch it this evening, but I bought Worms Armageddon today and I'm so hooked! haha

Worms - that's a game right? and yes, i'm a bit too talkative - i suffer from that thing called 'pressure of speech' aka 'verbal diarihoa' ;)

mikesb 962, Ronin is cool, great car chase and Irish lady.... I like the "Transporter" too another great car chase scene....

a tip for all you RONIN fans - for those who haven't spotted it yet :) at the end of the movie look at the top of the crowd in the Ice Arena - some of the audience are made from *cue music* Cardboard! bwaaa ha haah aha haa LMAO

i didn't spot that till i watched it on dvd - damn that always makes me laugh. looks like they didn't have enough extras that day! ;)

BigBunny.. .. .. .. .. 'what's the colour of the boathouse?'

962, The "Transporter" in no way matches the Ronin story in terms of depth and acting ability. It is nonetheless enjoyable with very cool car action in beautiful French and Monagasque surroundings... Jason Steatham has a certain silent way about him and the French chef de surete is hilarious.. Yes, I recommend it.....
Big Bunny, thanks for the tip!!! I'm gonna pull out Ronin for the cardboard!!! Well actually, I also will not mind seeing Natatcha McElhone again....

Good Morning Satchland !!!

Artanis I - The type of DVD you use depends on the computer. Again I don't want to seem biased 'cause I'm a Mac guy for music and DVD creation. The new iLife "05" app. has High Devinition Video now. You may want consider using a Mac for your project because of this. HD video on a desktop computer. Thats huge. I don't know much on whats available for PC in terms of cost effective DVD apps. But you can't beat the ease of iMovie and iDVD especially now with HD capibilities. If your PC based, search the web for PC DVD apps to see whats out there. Then decide what platform you want to use. The master will play on any DVD player 'cause they all accept - R and + R DVD's. Keep me posted.

Have a Great Day Everybody
