Skippy, there's a "contact us" link on the Roots page at the top. Give a yell and see if they ship that far :-)

Big B, time to get back on then! lol!

Could I ask for prayers for my mom Viv. She isn't well, and has to get her heart shocked back into normal rhythm tomorrow - if she's strong enough for it. She had a really bad day today. F'n doctors put her on a med that depletes her potassium, but didn't tell her to try to protect herself. She's been getting muscle cramps, and I've told her it was a sign of dehydration over the last few weeks, and I did read the potassium loss side effect to her & tell her to eat a banana a day...but she doesn't do anything until a doc says to do it. So frustrating.

*sigh*

Carry on.

Thanks for the prayers peeps! My mom came through it like a champ. Well, a 78 year old worn out champ, but a champ either way. It took 2 shocks to the heart for it to keep a normal rhythm. They had the defibrillators on her chest & back so they would get the entire muscle, so in essence, she's been kicked by a mule 2x today. Ouch! She was having some "after shocks" which scared her pretty bad. She said it felt like a sharp pinch, but it went away right away. Imagine feeling electricity going through your heart like that. Anyways, I tucked her in safely at home and hung out for a while to make sure she was settled. She wanted me to say THANK YOU to everyone who said a prayer or sent her good vibes, and I say thank you too!

Funniest part of the day - about 20 minutes after they called us into the room after the procedure, my mom looks at me groggily and says "No wonder Michael Jackson was hooked on that juice! That was the best sleep I had in a long time! I'd like some more of that!" lol!

That ol' Viv is a funny bird!

<3

Scubz, sorry to hear about yer noggin. I hope whatever it is can be remedied and yer right as rain in no time.

Daz - fingers crossed it's all just checking and no finding. Let us know how you go

JVMJem - mate, sorry to hear that.

I would have emailed you but I can't get in and there's no way I was dropping this into 140 character messages elsewhere (lol)

I had the result of my high level scan yesterday about the abnormality they found with me. There's definitely a problem. but as the contrast dye wasn't sucked into the area then it shows its unlikely to be anything sinister at this time or so they say, BUT I have to be monitored in case it's only something small so far

That wasn't the nicest thing to hear, but I'll believe that's how it is until I get told otherwise, and I obviously would like to think I'll never hear any different or in fact that it will be nothing time we get a little further down the line

If you have had contrast die and a similar chat I hope that offers some help or relief as such that maybe it won't be too bad

I would also usually refrain from making posts about my health, cos as you've noticed, I'm captain keep it private on most stuff, but if this offers help for you or anyone else who reads but doesnt post I thought it might be worth throwing out there

An to all, regarding the above, you ALL knew I had a loose screw from time to time so now it's been proved out for y'all which is a pain because it means I can't get out of it ;-b

Have a good weekend everyone, an if you're in a bad spot I'm sending some goodness your way

Oh Pippy, why would we be silly enough to place bets on your sleep since you haven't had any in months? Silly man.

Scubz yer saying yer brain is restricted, shadowy, & glandy, and Pip is saying his brain is possibly sinister with refusal to sleep. Geez! Sounds like a party over there! I wish you both the best - always! My sister gets her MRI on Monday to check her remaining Mengioma tumor's growth. She got the biggin' the size of a large lemon removed a couple years ago, but the smaller one is deep in and in the back, and will need the cyber knife dealio eventually. Just the other day she mentioned how glad she was that she gave me 'power of attorney'. I told her I would pick a nice nursing home for her in the countryside with day passes & a liquor store nearby! lol! She liked that. lol!

Hey, if ya can't laugh in the face of adversity, ya got nothing.

Best wishes & healing vibes to both of you! :-)

Thanks for the well wishes for my mum!

If this doesn't make you laugh, nothing does.

Chellebelle - who are you calling a man? Oh.... doh!

We know me brain is sinister already lol they talked me through all sorts, not sure if Im being too blase but as I feel pretty ok apart from certain day to week to month things to deal with then not sure how else to feel

Sorry to hear about Mom & Sis (I had to read back). Wow, so much going on. No wonder we all need Joe's healing powers

Rats, I'm still awake - I guess that's ruining the odds on the will I sleep guessing game. That being said, I do get the odd half/hour or so, sometimes throwing in a luxurious 3.

Does being awake, but not actually doing anything physical burn calories? That could be one of my dumbest questions yet....

QUESTION TO JOE : when you compose a track do you have a certain method of composing or your way of composing is difeerent in each music track? For example do you use just your imagination and thoughts to compose a melody or a guitar solo ? .................... or at first your thoughts are discipline , strictly based on music theory and afterwards the composing, you add the feeling with bends , harmonics , e.t.c?
