Hello Joe, The only show my wife and I have missed with you was the Jimi Hendrix show at the Mesa Amphitheater .... We sure are looking forward to any new visits you make regardless of the line-up...Everything always ROCKS.... I got turned on to your music by a friend in 1987 and have been hooked ever since...Almost every day I have a new favorite tune..lol The one song I have really been jamming lately {listening that is!} is Wormhole Wizards...just awesome... 1 of the main reasons I enjoy your music so much is your just having fun attitude while you play and I never hear any arrogance from you...When someone is as good as you and can keep an even keel....well I give that person all the respect in the world....because that has to be tough not to do...lol have a great night.....

Hi Joe! I'd like to inform you that on the auspicious occasion of Nepal Tourism Year 2011, we have called some bands like MLTR, Bryan Adams, Magnus Rosen of Hammerfall, Vader & Mattias IA Eklundh among which Magnus Rosen, Bryan Adams, Vader & Mattias Ia Eklundh already performed at the "Himalayan Kingdom" Nepal and MLTR are performing at Nov. 19. So, it would be a great pleasure if you would perform at the top of the world. Since thousands of Nepali fans have been waiting you since long ago, it would be a great honor for our country if you would come here on the occasion of NTY-2011. Cheers from Nepal! :D

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. The hubs found Goo Goo Doll tix at the last minute for our night out. He found a fan club member who couldn't go, and was selling her tix - row B = 5th row. Our daughter had bought tix the minute they went on sale and got...row P!!

Let me just take a sec & say...what the shit? WHY do tickets START on sale day at row P? Row 21? I know they don't hold 21 rows for the fan club, so what's the system? Can anyone shed a light on that? It's happened to all of us. We get tix as soon as they go on sale, and they're over half way in the back. WTF?

Anyways, i like the Goo Goo Dolls, but I'm not so much a "fan" as in the fans I saw last night. Jayzus! I was in pop hell. lmao! I won't go into all the detail, but they have some friggin die hard weirdy fans! Johnny Rzeznik had some banter with a super drunk girl in the front row, and held no punches. lol! My daughter said this girl even passed out through bits of the show. lol! That's baaaad.

So just before we went in, my hubs asked to see my daughter & her friends tickets. She gave him the tickets, and he gave her ours. They were VERY happy! I didn't mind seeing Goo, but the 5th row was not necessary. They had a great time, and we did too. Well, the hubs enjoyed it more than I did, but it was a nice night out.

Does anybody know the significance of the black balloon barrage during one of the songs? I don't know what they hell that was about, but it was strange. lol! Oh, I also stood next to this skinny giant kid, who I aptly named Austin. I think the top of my head reached his collar bone. lol! Would have sucked to stand behind him!!

Opening band was Ryan Star. Good drummer, & great sounding drums!

Al, I fell asleep half way through yer video. Thanks tho ;-)

Wonder why college tuition is so high? Love college football?

Check out this June article.

Hall of Fame football coach Joe Paterno's total compensation package totaled a little more than $1.02 million last year, down from $1.1 million the previous year.

Penn State University president Graham Spanier made about $813,000.

Both make more than the President of the United States. He makes $400,000 annually.

Wanna send your kid to a good school? How much would just their education cost without this crap?.

Lets see what happens after they clean house.

And they're out!

Joe Pa had a hell of a run. It's a shame he didn't do more to stop that douchebag.

"Earlier in the day, Paterno said in a statement he was "absolutely devastated" by the case, in which Sandusky, his onetime heir apparent was charged with molesting eight boys in 15 years, with some of the alleged abuse taking place at the Penn State football complex."

If Joe was " "absolutely devastated" ", how the hell did he think those poor kids felt - and spent their lives feeling. FTS!!

michelle - Haha...nice concert story. We'll end up at the same concert one of these days, but I have a feeling it WON'T be the Goo Goo Dolls. ;-)

FYI, they do have a song called Black Balloon. It's poppy, but I like it. I actually like that whole album (Dizzy Up The Girl)...it's very well done.

And I don't know what's up with Ticketmaster. I bought tickets to the Mark and Brian (they do the morning show on 95.5 KLOS) Christmas Show a few days ago. I was on right at 10 a.m. and kept pulling up tickets halfway back on the far sides of the venue. Finally, 15 minutes later, I pulled up a pair of second row center seats.

It should be a great show...the Steve Miller Band, Chickenfoot, Steve Lukather, and others:

http://www.955klos.com/Article.asp?id=2323343

Last year's show included Billy Idol, Paul Rodgers, Joe Perry, Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, and others. They had a live webcast going...maybe they'll do the same this year.

...Austin...

ok, i've calmed down now. had some Fishbone Shiraz >=:)

i'm been very fortunate to of seen G3 in 2006. Vai solo in 2000. & Joe solo twice, 2nd time in 2008 i was on the rail! >=:)

there are many fans around the world who have not seen Satch live once so i have no right to b*tch... disappointed but hey the G3 in Perth only had 2000 fans so maybe that's why we were left off the tour.

for all other aussies enjoy!

Hey I just recently finished learning Always With Me, Always With You on guitar and it's so good and so much fun to play, but then I heard your live version and I want to learn it so bad but I cant find tabs anywhere and I'm terrible at figuring that stuff out for myself. Do you think you could post some tabs to it or maybe a video or something? And do you think you could also tell me what equipment you use to play it? Thanks so much

Austin, this is how it looked from our seats. I was like...wtf? lol! Here's the banter with the drunk girl. You're right, it WON'T be a Goo show! LOL! Hopefully it will happen some day, and hopefully it will be with the fearsome threesome J-T-A!

The KLOS show sounds awesome!

BigB, sorry about the no Perth date, but I thoroughly enjoyed yer little fuck fuckity fuck rant this morning before work. lol! I hope they come your way soon.

As for Penn State - they be f**ked, Good to get Spanier out of there, and some of the good ol' boys in the upper echelon. There was a rally at PS Berks, but no violence or riots (as reported) that I know of or my son knows of - and he was there today. Bidness as usual.

More banter and a jab at the drunk girl. So glad we switched seats with our daughter! lol!

michelle - yeah... sorry about that. just had to get it out. i don't travel well, i have panic attacks away from home. i cancelled travelling to Adelaide for MetallicA last year because my trip to Melb. went bad. bloody Qantas kept my money >:/ $370 down the drain. they wouldn't even extend the date for me just incase i chose to travel later.

G3 is worth travelling for. Adelaide is the closest, a 3 hour flight. only thing stopping me would be my anxiety disorder... along with a few other disorders.

going out to the letterbox is a big day out for me >=;)
