Joe,

I just can't believe it. I thought all the best music had been written back at Crystal Planet. I have loved it all before and since, but BS&WW just might be my favorite album of all time.

I have seen you seven times (Yeah, I know, I am a neophyte to many) but this may have been the best tour yet. My friend and I went to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater (12-04-10). This was our first trip west; we are usuallly at the HOB or down south. The setlist for this show, well, it was unbelievable. And you will never make everyone happy with the setlist, and I wished to have heard some other tunes, but I would not have changed a thing. Perfect.

All the new material is absolutely incredible. Thank you sir for the innovation, creativity, and dedication to the music and your fans. Do not let the tour end so soon; add some additional NA dates . . . and come back to Florida!!! Peace and Merry Christmas.

I concur there... The new album is some of the best stuff since CP or SBM, It's good shit

New setlist is freakin' sweet too, super cool, even at the live show here there was a far more diverse crowd, a lot of them were douches though, one guy smelled like pizza, cigarettes and old paint

:D

"Down down down" was just featured on a show about homeless people here in Dublin! fitting song

Mike Portnoy's time with Avenged Sevenfold comes to an end by Mike Portnoy on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 11:48am

Yes, the rumours are true...sadly my time with Avenged Sevenfold has come to an end...

The band has decided to carry on into 2011 without me...I had a great time with them throughout 2010, but it was their choice to end the relationship at the end of 2010 as was always the initial plan....

I had an awesome time on stage with the guys every night and have so many cool memories from the experience with them...I am proud to always be part of the A7X family and history.

I also adore the A7X fans and totally appreciate the way they welcomed me aboard and were so loving and supportive during my time with the band...thank you!

As far as my future, I am excited by the endless musical possibilities that lie ahead of me...my love for music runs very deep and my taste is very broad and ecclectic which will give me the chance to explore many different things and collaborate with many great friends and artists I admire and respect...

Happy Holidaze to you all and c-ya in the New Year, MP

Hi everyone...

The local rock radio station here in LA (95.5 KLOS) has their morning show's Christmas concert tonight. One of the bands on the bill includes Paul Rodgers, Joe Perry, Jason Bonham, and Michael Anthony.

The show starts at 6 (or 7?) and will be webcast...the link can probably be found at the KLOS site.

I'd love to go to the show, but I can't make it work...I'm headed up to San Francisco early tomorrow morning for the Black Crowes. I'm catching their last three shows at the Fillmore before they go on hiatus again. Should be fun! :-)

Dear Joe, I so enjoyed your 2 New York concerts..You made a big impression on me on many levels. When I got home this afternoon, someone who also attended your show e-mailed me that he got to see you...I was so thrilled for him but sad for me...Then I looked at your website & realized that I did NOT see the announcement that was posted for passes to see you & my name was on the list for both shows. OH, My Brain Chemicals seem to be at war inside my head...I punished myself for awhile & realized that I just did not know where to look...BUT..... Next time I'll know... Sending you lots of loving energies for the rest of your tour & was thrilled to hear that your Toronto show will be taped...Stay well....God Bless You... Natalia Romana

Peace - I just had that on in the car this week on the way to work, magic ain't it? I have another round of wrapping presents tomorrow night and will put on some appropriate accompanying Satch.

edit....almost forgot Nice little interview with Joe - I like Bryan Reesman because he always asks the questions I would ask. I was curious to see Joe's comment about being contrarian - I am a firm contrarian personality and it drives most of my family and friends crazy!!

Joe, awesome show last night as usual in Detroit! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Maybe less photographers next time, one dude was driving me nuts all through the show standing up! He must have taken 2,000 shots! Anyhow, still loved the show, I really enjoyed the songs you haven't played in awhile!

Are there any REAL JS fans out there or just people chatting with eachother about their personal lives ? Let's hear some feedback on this post from 12/14

OK Funkilus fans, let's have some fun ! I have an idea to show our loyal support to Joe with a tatoo for the die hard Club Joe members. My 16 yr. old son and his friends are obsessed with Joe's music and are allready onboard with my idea. It was awsome to turn them on to Joe when Super Colossal came out and to watch them grow in Joe over the last few years. They like the deep cuts the most. I propose people submit a tatoo design and have a contest to pick a winner. Once a winner is selected, we can print the design and take to our local tatoo parlor. My idea would include the phrase " CLUB JOE " on top, an image of Joe with guitar under that and the phrase " MEMBER SINCE 19?? " on the bottom. Maybe Satch HIMSELF can design the image ! That would be sooooooo cool. I'm not sure how to set this up or even if Joe would approve. Maybe someone can take this idea and run with it. PS : BSAWW is awsome ! TNJOE in Powell Tennessee, US

TN Joe, Damn tattoos? Thats deep...

Ay, I cant wait, 2 more days 'til Joe is in Chicago. And what is this I hear about changin the setlist? It hope it contains Thte Golden Room (and Time Machine, and Down Down Down for that matter lol). He doesnt even need real percussionists up there for TGR; he could just blow the dust off someones mpc2000 and sequence it. Or just use a backing track like he did for the ITLIS in-stores back in '04

I almost never heard him sound better then with those backing tracks or maybe it's 'cause it was so intimate. He even took the glasses off for that one.

My favorite concert of his was An Evening With Joe Satriani tour, all deep cuts. What was yours?

To get a concert like that, we have to catch him in between albums and not on tour with Chicken Foot. I eagerly wait for that day to arise again.
