Hey Guys, just driftin' through, one day back at 'work' and then another 6 off - kick ass ;-)
Cube Checked out 'Something you should know ?', nice work man, you really know how to get that edgy, ominous feel into a track, some great licks in there as well and I love the title as well.
Ovation Hey Mike ! I got 'Billy Cobham's Glass Menagerie' for Xmas and your man Mike is loooking very young but sounding very mature, great player in a great context. Nice jazzy DVD as well, put it on the list bro ;-)
Tastey Okay that kinda makes a lot of sense, hope the dice roll the way you want them too.
Michelle Man, bombarded by crap music at work, I had the same problems here with the admin staff, too much already ! Nevermind its all over for another year now. For me the best song of the Xmas period was on 'The Osbournes Xmas Special' with Ozzy and the dog sat at the piano singing 'Cats are c**ts', I nearly choked on my whiskey - classic TV moment.
Alrighty then guys, I'm gonna ride off into the sunset again, I know its early but Happy New Year to one and all !, I hope 2004 is a killa year for everyone in here ;-)

Mr. Nick --- I bought a Yamaha MD8 8-track recorder some years ago for $800 secondhand and thought it was a steal! Those things usually go new for about $1300 new. By all means, grab it! :) I haven't done any major projects with it yet, but that's not saying that you couldn't. And it can't be beat for getting quick ideas down. Best of all, it's a digital recorder, not an analog. Keep in mind though, that it uses MD Data Disks for storage medium, sort of a 'multi-track' version of a MiniDisc, therefore the quality it records at is somewhat akin to a 256kbps MP3. Of course, if this isn't an issue for you, then I say go for it. It doesn't really sound that bad at all.
Hope everyone's Christmas was cheery, and wishing everyone here a Happy New Year in 2004! :) New Years' Eve and New Years' Day happen to fall on my two days off this week, YAAY! :) Picking up my fiancee at 7pm, going to my mom's house for steamed shrimp, to Gannman's house to par-tay and get appropriately toasted, and back to my place for nookie, hee hee. :) All before the stroke of 2. Um...okay, maybe not. The nookie may last a while...always does. :) A good time to be had by all involved is in the works...
Got some new music coming up soon. Just finished up a new track called 'Virtualita' and am in the process of doing test mixes now. As soon as it's finished I'll put up a link...
By the way, I have re-edited this post 16 times. For a keyboardist that's pretty sad. I need to get my stuff out of storage...I am seriously out of practice. I've been making music with a mouse a little too long...
Take care and stay safe this holiday season.

Hi, Joe!
Happy New Year!
Tell me, are you gonna play in Brazil with G3? We love you, Vai and Malmasteen, and, even the fact the Malmsteen hate us, don't take our wish to see you.
Sorry about my english, and thanks.

JSJS-
I think those 2 songs I mentioned that I liked were studio ones that were not it movies, I think. I like the others too. The Reaper is pretty good along with quit a few others. I've never seen the movie. But like I said those 2 at the beginning are my fave, but there are many more great ones too that I like to listen too.

i completely agree with what roop2 said, it love your music, i cant play all that much of your stuff, but i dont try all that much, it is too hard, shit man, all steve vai's talent comes from you as well, i have (steve's) passion and warefare, it isnt as good as your stuff, but it is still good, man i love your guitar work joe, it is 'kin amazing, and (you're) my word, what a song, it shows that speed isn't all. if you play the guitar you really notice just how good joe really is.
Joe, what do you think of Iron Maiden? (adrian smith [one of the 3 iron maiden guitarists] likes your music a lot as well, Which Heavy-metal/rock band, except Iron Maiden, do You think is the most talented? How about Metallica?
Tobias Soegaard Hajslund

Don't forget, STUUUUUUUUU was purple :)
Mikey, I'm curious if Dave W. and I could have possibly gone to the same high school. Also, what neighborhood he came from. There's a 12 year difference in our age, so I doubt we've ever ran into each other on the streets, but it would be cool knowing what part of town he's from.
Paul, I can only imagine how much fun that was for Ozzy! LOL! I love it when he tells Sharon that he's NOT going to do something or sing something because "he's the bloody Prince of Darkness", then the next thing you see is ol' OZ doing exactly what he said he would never do. lmao! Sharon sure has a way of getting things done. lol! I gotta go search around the net and see if I can find an update on Ozzy's health. God Bless him. I hope he has a full recovery.

What's up, Joe? How's the new album coming? I never got to go to a chiropractor like you recommended at the show at the Keswick, but my arm seems to be feeling better. Thanks for the advice. Happy New Year everyone! By the way, does anyone else here use an yngwie malmsteen overdrive pedal (YJM 308)? I got one for christmas and it works GREAT with my legacy half stack. Later everyone.

Hi Joe, Ive been a longtime fan and guitarist. Ive made a guitar sample CD called insane guitar tools-Vol. One that allows users of Propellerheads REASON programme to add guitar parts to their songs. Its a tool that lets non guitarists access real recorded guitar sounds. I enlisted the help of UK Guitarist Steve Yates and the CD consists of single strings, all chords, and a selection of licks etc.
To demonstrate the potential of the CD I went straight to a site that had midi files of your songs and loaded up the CD to play the guitar parts from 'Always with me, always with you'. iI would like to know if I can get your permission to use this as a demo song for my CD. It is on my website at present, but I will take it down if you withhold your permission, I dont want to steal your work! Please visit my site to hear the song-http://www.insaneguitartools.com/songs.html
If you like the idea I would be very interested in making a Joe Satriani refill and we could discuss the idea.
Please contact me billdup@blueyonder.co.uk
Thanks and Happy New Year!
Bill
