Mike : there's potential, indeed.. but well, you know, i've read Rimbaud. So, it's very difficult to seduce me with teenagers. This said, they play well their stuff.

My two cents worth on the MJ thing:

Never bought into the Jackson 5.

Always felt slightly uneasy about MJ's solo stuff (don't know why).

Tolerated his collaborations with Macca who I think is an awesome singer/musician/composer.

Never got any of his solo stuff and never will.

I feel he has had a difficult life (some of his own making) and it is unfortunate he has passed away so young but I won't be shedding any tears.

There are so many unsung heroes who have passed on and precious few give a flying fuck about them because they weren't famous. Anyone who wants to shed a few crocodile tears should (in my opininion for what it's worth) think of them and what they have unselfishly done for us.

Cappy - more MJ - he had such a large body of work that spanned 4 decades. It's a passing of an era for people because they all remember something related to him or his songs in their own life. Makes people feel nostalgic for things that are no more. Cathartic.

michelle - My favorite *part* of an MJ video actually has nothing to do with the song itself, but it'd be the intro to Black Or White with Macaulay Culkin playing guitar in his room and upsetting his dad (George Wendt...Norm from Cheers). The rest of the video is weird though.

My favorite full video would be Beat It, although I have to admit I haven't seen too many of his. I know the Scream video was hugely influential...I can respect it for that, but I never liked the song and I'm not a Janet Jackson fan.

Don1963 - Ah...the first Candlebox is a good one. I finally bought it a few months ago, at the recommendation of another T2Jer here.

I think Andy Johns was a good first choice, as he had worked with both Satch and Van Halen in the past. I know it's a bit early to talk about other producers, but I'd love to see what Chickenfoot could do with someone like Brendan O'Brien (famous for working with a bunch of 90s rock bands, but also Aerosmith and Bruce Springsteen) or Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith again, Dream Theater, recent Led Zeppelin reissues).

Zenfish - Nice choice...Lucky Charms is one of my favorite Vai songs.
Blue_Moon - Pick something obscure, then...like VH's Light Up The Sky or Girl Gone Bad.

Or finally get it together and finish EITS's Your Hand In Mine. I saw them last night and they nailed it...

Al, I was cleaning my room yesterday and found the Cop Chick photo. Get back to work on the song or it'll be posted for the world (well, T2J) to see.
