Couple Sentenced for Hiring 16 Year Old Son a Stripper
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A couple pleaded guilty Thursday to hiring a stripper for their son's 16th birthday party and were sentenced to two years probation.
Landon and Anette Pharris, who were charged with contributing the delinquency of a minor, also were ordered to take parenting classes.
The parents hired the stripper to perform at a September party attended by about a dozen young people.
Cassandra Joyce Park, 29, who police say used the stage name "Sassy," danced for a few hours before partygoers took up a collection and paid her $150 more to fully disrobe, Anette Pharris said.
The stripper and the man she was with were also granted probation.
Police were tipped off to the party by a photo developer at a drug store who saw pictures of the occasion.
Pharris said after being arrested that she tried to do something special for her son.
"We even had grandpa there," she said.
fitting for an 1800th post - huh ??

Cuth: I see your point man, but actually the attacks of fundamentalist Islam that we are seeing now are actually not the result of western interference, but are actually the death throws of a dying indeology desperate for attention. I was in a sociology of religion class a year or so ago in college and we studied Islam in depth. Basically the bulk of the argument is that in the middle ages and slightly later, Islam had made it's way deep into western Europe, encompassing lands all the way up to Spain (if I remember correctly). Even though Islam rulled western Europe, it allowed non beleivers to exist peacefully with out changing their way of life. Since then, Islam has been pushed back into the middle East. Fundamentalism exists because Islam (as a conquering force) has lost and failed in consuming the west, so the only way it can attempt to look powerfull is by gaining attention from terrorist acts that allow the fundamentalists to appear powerful or dominant over the west. It's just a show for their supporters. Fundamentalists want what Hitler, Stalin and Musolini wanted...power. They want to gain supporters, and have their ideology dominate the world. So in reality, the actions of any western nations have little to do with the actins or intentions of fundamentalism. That's the bulk of the reason for terrorism in Islam. Basically we see the same the same thing (though less violently) with all fundamentalist sects of religions. For example, fundamentalist christianity developed out of the belief that the ideology of christian morality was loosing, so a stronger more furvent mesage had to be crafted to gain attention. Anyway, I'm exhausted.....no more unhappy stuff from me haah! Only music for a while. I don't want anyone to think for a second though, that I'm pissing on anyone's religious beliefs. There are plenty (probably) a majority of believers in Islam that do not believe in the tactics or ideology of fundamentalist Islam.

Hey guys,
Fabollox I am totally with you dude a lack of respect is the underlying problem behind the main problems of modern society. I am saddened that a fundamental building block of 'civilisation' is so notably missing in so many sections of our world. There was a lot to be said for the hippy movement, the first real idealist movement, sadly the first movement to die out as its proponents grew up and got older................ I saw a Dead Head sticker on a cadillac indeed.
Estrela Dream On.................... dream yourself a dream come true.
Important Message Phrydom (Dave) has asked me to let you know that he is noy only off line at the moment but his computer has croaked as well. He'll be back as and when.
Clarky There is definitely an English 'Fuck You' attitude over here..............just a pity that the usual outlet for it is Saturday night after the clubs throw out - lol
Yoda Concise and to the point.
Slansh Do not mistake my kindness for weakness I'm sure that is a quote from somewhere, I'm with you man. I'll do owt for anyone but don't fucking cross me. Like your man said, its all about respect.

Things Overheard at the Live 8 Concerts
15> "Your Live 8 ticket price is going directly to helping
the children of a poor TicketMaster executive go to a
good private college. Please give, won't you?"
14> "I'm sorry, Justice O'Connor, only actual members of Pink
Floyd are allowed on stage."
13> "How am I supposed to advance the cause of fair treatment
for Africa when someone's forgotten to remove the green
M&Ms from my bowl?"
12> "Check out our low interest rates on bottles of Aquafina."
11> "Careful dude, if we heal all the world's suffering now,
there'll be no more kick-ass concerts!"
10> "I know you don't like coffee, but there are starving children
in Africa that would kill for that Starbucks triple
strawberry-mocha vente latte."
9> "All right, who stole Johnny Rotten's walker?"
8> "Thank you for your offer, Mr. Jackson, but we've got a very
full lineup of performers already. Besides, to make room
for you we'd have to bump Gallagher."
7> "I don't know about Africa, but I helped my personal debt by
selling my tickets on eBay for $5,000."
6> "I'm so embarrassed -- I just called Annie Lennox 'Sting.'"
5> "I would have gladly paid the ticket price just to keep
Motley Crue in retirement."
4> "What a rip-off! I paid $47.50 of my hard earned money to see
Ted Nugent do a duet with Nelson Mandela."
3> "Is this the line to marry Britney?"
2> "Man, the lengths Bob Geldoff will go to get a gig."
and the Number 1 Things
Overheard at the Live 8 Concerts...
1> "Damn, how much money do those greedy Midwestern farmers need?"

LOST
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below.
She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're 30 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude."
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Democrat."
"I am," replied the man.??"How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Republican."
"I am," replied the balloonist.
"How did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, then you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met but, somehow, now it's my fault."

962- when you said (about UK involvement in Iraq) "...we didn't have to get involved, it was our choice..."
It was TONY'S choice only, not the people's though. So you could say now Tony has even more blood on his hands?
Mari- Hi! Hope you are ok...

962 - yup.... al-Q is a cancer... and needs to be cut out..
ocps - hahaa... take a little look at history............
Islam has had 'empires'...
The Ottoman Turks... 800 years worth....
and Mohammed himself was quite the general, responcible for crusades of his own....
does that make them Imperialist Crusaders???? lmao...
I guess not... pots and kettles.... lol...
alexandre - no info on Portugal gigs..... for this to happen we'd need to find a local promoter....
if something happened in Portugal or Spain I'll shout bro..
yoda - wise words mate... lol...
cuth / ocps - I've been reading and thinking a little about the whole middle east thing.....
the whole area has been kicking-off since before Iraq, Iran, Israel, Syria etc etc existed......
long before the Christian Crusades of the 12th C and 13th C
even before Rome more than 1,000 years before.....
the whole region has just about the longest history of war and instability there is... several thousand years worth...
long long before Islam...
conflict after conflict... one thing followed by another...
it makes for interesting reading... and may help explain the attitudes of today....
vfr - lol..... Hitler switched to bombing the cities during the Battle of Britain to pound the population into submition... I think the objective was to cause a popular uprising against the government, through the nation into turmoil.. make for an easy invasion....
but he miscalculated hugely... the population dug in their heels..
became more resolute...
When Ceaser invaded Britain.. the Romans were actually afraid of the Britons...
these mysterious people, fanatical fighters, tough and resourceful.... he tried and failed twice.....

Clarky I suspect that 14 INT and the SAS / SBS got a few new lil' jobs this morning.....
if al-Q ain't scared of that... they fucking should be...
never a truer word said bro....
being offline for the last few days has killed me.... not being able to read anything (my tv gets no channels - everything came second or third hand)... i bought a paper today a literally cried while reading it in a shopping centre.... and their coverage was sparse at best.....
Alexandre I remember! We will sort it out one day! I'm sure! Take care my friend :-)
regarding the London thing, all I can think is to quote from a book I read today (yes! all in one day lol):
Question: What Can A Thoughtful Man Hope For Mankind on Earth, Given the Experience of the Past Million Years?
Answer: Nothing.
