Joe, you never fail to inspire and amaze me or anyone else on this board, I believe. There are some truly amazing, emotional songs from past recordings (Saying Goodbye comes to mind immediately), and other artists have some very good songs in this same style (Steve Vai's "Whispering a Prayer" speaks to me as well). However, you really outdo yourself on this new record. I was skeptical after listening to some of the clips. However, once I heard it all together, it al made sense. I had planned to come on here and write a huge, amazingly long, beautifully detailed synopsis of why SBM is simply the most amazing display of emotion and artistry and virtuosity all rolled into one that I have ever beared witness to...but I figured that three words would say it all. WOW!!! Thank you!!!

Hi everyone. I wasn't able to read Talk To Joe earlier today (like normal), so this is going to be a long post. Sorry about that. To keep things shorter, I'll wait a day or two before I give my "review" of SBM.

nicesky - If you wait by Joe's bus after the show, he might come out to sign autographs.

KhakiCoalition - I've never heard of Joe doing a workshop like that...sorry.

disassociative 1 - I bet there will be a merchandise booth at all of the shows.

evbro - If you want to find a post by a specific person, click the "n posts total" button under their name. :-)

bullster - The sweatshirts might be available once the tour starts. I hope Joe or someone has been paying attention to this page and knows that there is demand for them.

Ya Yo Gakk - Yes, the Eric Johnson DVD is audio-only.

Chrome Lover - Don't do that!

vesel - Stu is doing solo work...

Ibztone - You can put your set list in any order that you want. I have it arranged as the order I would like to hear it...1-16 is set 1 and 17-32 is set 2. I think the way it works is all of the selections get thrown in a database for Joe to look at, so order doesn't matter.

Joe,

First, my Expert review....WHOA DUDE, COOOOL!!!! SBM is excellent.

I'm in the middle of listen #3 and I keep hearing different little nuances each time. I love the sound, tone and feel of it. It sounds to me like you took a little edge off the distortion and went for a warmer more natural sound from the guitar (but what do I know - I can't even play). Great job on the production, too. It sounds well produced rather than overproduced like 90% of todays music.

AND, not only did we get the latest masterpiece today, but an official on sale date for Atlanta. Not a bad day IMHO. I've got my plastic waiting for the pre-sale as we speak!

Later, Rich

Hi Joe! Just wanted to say that in despiration to get SBM on release day, I ordered it from 3 different places... none of them made it here for the 25th, so I bought it in the shop :) Gonna do a competition I think ;) This album really DOES kick serious arse! Fav tunes... Belly Dancer, Chords of Life, Mind Storm, The Traveler, Journey and more! You gotta play them when I see you on the 18th July @ Shephards Bush Empire... and if you can, PLEASE play The Forgotten Part II! It's a shame tho - for the last 2 tours (and 2001 G3) I saw you live in Toronto with my fiance (she is Canadian and lives there) and this year I won't be in Canada at the time you are playing, so I cannot share the experience with her :( Take care and look forward to seeing ya on July 18th!

webmaster - Do you have a language filter on this board, like you had on the old Talk To Joe? If not, can you set up a simple one? Little stuff usually doesn't bother me, but it'd be nice if we didn't have things like the recent posts full of f--- this and f--- that.

Hi JOE and all you craizy one's reading this !! I just wanted to thank you Joe because I read one of your latest interviews in "Gitarre und Bass" (about the new album, etc...) . An I really appreciated your optimistic coments about the "future of the electric guitar" at the end of the interview because there are so many professional guitarists (!!!) who bewail the ruin of this instrument. So thank you Joe for not belonging to these sort of musicians and being the best guide a young guitarist can imagine !!! Tom

Mr NICK : first of all, stop using the F word and calm down. and second, you're probably not the only one streaming from that site. try a bit later. third : tks for not making your post ALL in CAPS and bold : that will help my eyes recovering from the 'nice' vocabulary you use.

I think languages filter would be a good idea all round. I'm not easily offended but it annoys me, to think of younger Satch fans who may be using this board. Anyway, super album Joe, I love every second of it!! Many more to come I hope!! later guys, Stu....Oh...how do I get pargraph tags into a post, I noticed some people are doing this?

good point, but I think that the posts with 'bad words' are actually posted by some of the younger satch fans.

Anyway, maybe the mighty Jon Luini will reply to our query ?

:) /Leiny

Hey There. I'm not the biggest fan in the world, BUT I do enjoy listening to Joe's music. It would be great to see Joe do a few shows down here in Australia. Please excuse my ingnorance if you have played shows down here before, I don't know if you have or not. It's great to here really good instrumental guitar music, there's not much in Australia. As far as rock guitar is concerned I mean. Keep up the good work. CHEERS.
