Hey Joe! Just wanted to ask, what effects do you use (especily for 'Always with me...' and 'Surfing with the alien') I've tried loads of combinations but none seem to come close! Love the music and should see you at Manchester on your uk tour! Regards, James and the rest of Sinnercy!

P.S. Great work on the new site Jon!

MR NICK, you have it backwards my friend. Now that Joe is going on tour, he'll actually have more time to write between gigs and after the shows.

While he's writing & recording a record, he's obviously busy. Then when he's done he has to practice the songs he just wrote with the band so they can tour, plus do some press. Still very busy. Then they finally go on tour and have spare time between gigs to check in and hang out a bit more. After the tour, Joe takes the family on a well deserves holiday :) and he's gone again.

Hello!!! This is the first time I visit this website, It's very cool. I Just want to say that Joe is my absolute favorite guitarist and I really think it's a shame that we don't see him on tour this summer in DENMARK. Please don't forget to come by another time in the near future.

Best Regards.... Danish Fan

Ohh...i almost forgot, the new album is VERY cool!!!

I can understand about the sound robbing thingy. Also he said there is a slight delay when you use them.I am just soooo tired of chords. They get all tangled up.Especially when you are choking someone who throws a beer bottle at you on stage..lol..Michelle:Can you send me a frozen M&M drink here in FL.?...I do have my needs you know!:)L8er...jblaze

oledaman....i bought an ibanez s470 a while back with my limited budget. it's pretty good. the bridge isn't great (lo-trs 2) so if you want to get better you have to shell out a little more. that's just how it is. i don't think they make my model anymore but i would buy an ibanez s. definitely do your homework.

did i mention belly dancer??

kholdstayr - it was a new Ibanez JS 7-string prototype.

INVIGOR AND STU NOT BOO - I've said it before and I'll say it again - the Mixo solo at the end of Champagne? is one of the best, most uplifting pieces of guitar genius I have ever heard. It's not flashy so to speak by any means, yet it is one of my favorites of all Joe's solos! And Austin, I went to Knott's Berry Farm once - fun stuff!!!

jblaze: hows this for synchronicity....on Sat night I was give two KWS cd copies(in exchange for a copy of SBM......sorry Joe!) Never listened to KWS before, but from what Ive heard so far, no resemblance to SRV whatsoever!(anyone wanna fight??)

Bought a new CD player today, & Im saturating the walls with SBM......

Evbro - Yeah. It shows how Joe can play real guitar to entertain without a band behind him or any flashy solos. It's real guitar work. Actually making a big, interesting sound with just one instrument and his fingers. Personally my favourite part of CHAMPAGNE? is that really smooth partial chord riff that comes in at 2:03. It is one of the most slick and smoothly performed riffs i've ever heard.

Well...the first show should be done by now. It's after 5:00 pm here in CA... England is 8 hours ahead of us, so it's 1:00 am there. The show was farther east than that so it should have ended a while ago. Where are the reviews? ;-)

Master Yoda - Santo And Johnny did Sleep Walk originally.

Ya Yo Gakk - Have fun camping.

Zsolt77 - I don't know if the song is connected to the painting. One of the aftershow winners should ask Joe.

Mr Nick - Actually, Joe visits the page more when he's on tour. During the G3 tour, he posted just about every night at 2:00 am or so, when he was on the bus going to the next gig.

gurus - I think that's a problem with the promoter...evil Clear Channel.

JS Clone 1 - Yeah, that part is cool. It's a shame Champagne? was never done live. I think Stu could've done an awesome job with the funky bass part.

...Austin...

Hi Joe and Everyone, I am wondering why all attendees for Joe and Dream Theater at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA must be 21 or over? I ask because my 17 year old son found out about the Tabernacle show a couple of weeks ago. He knows how much I LOVE Joe Satriani's music and August 24th is my actual birthday. So, he was Soooo excited that he could take me to the concert for my real birthday. He has been saying it is the perfect present for me. (I love this child so much.) But, when we tried to get tickets we discovered that everyone must be 21 or over! I am so bummed out about this and so is my son. :-(( My son has told me to go on without him and the tickets can still be my Bday present from him, but I cannot bear to think of going without him. He loves Joe's music too. Joe's music is something we do together. We go riding in my convertible Mustang with the top down and crank up Joe's music and just laugh and enjoy as we "fly in a blue dream"! Is there anyway I could get a ticket for a 17 year old for the Tabernacle show??? Any suggestions will be greatly celebrated! Rock On, Alta
